Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The Investor Centres provide RBCDI’s only person-to-person acquisition and service experience. The Centres service all client segments, but the business strategy is designed to focus on HNW and UHNW clients requiring an elevated level of service. This includes complex personal and non-personal account types and the review of acquisition opportunities requiring enhanced due diligence. The role is directly accountable for achieving the Investor Centres client and asset growth objectives, and for the growth and retention of a select group of DI’s largest and most profitable clients. Business results will be achieved through the implementation of effective networking and local market activities to attract new accounts and assets from new and existing RBC clients. As RBCDI’s only client facing service channel, the Investor Centres represent the brand, customer experience and professional image of the business.
What will you do?
- Direct accountability/responsibility of the Investor Centre financial objectives and 2 full time employees
- Responsible for an assigned portfolio of ~100 of RBCDI’s highest value clients located in your geography.
- You proactively engage with your clients to offer value added service and support, helping clients to become more confident self-directed investors through education on RBCDI’s leading online platform
- Implement practice management disciplines, partnering with PB and BFS advisors to promote introductions resulting in new banking and lending relationships.
- Ensure scheduled weekly value added proactive calling follows the client service model and meets established practice management targets.
- Responsible for managing the Investor Centre, which is a ‘relationship hub’ targeting High Net Worth (HNW) market segments by offering:
- Subject Matter Expertise on RBC Direct Investing products and services
- Education and information through seminars and one-on-one online sessions
- Specialized support in complex processes and a superior level of technical expertise, service and professionalism
- Acting as a critical point of contact and trusted resource for RBC partners in upper-mass affluent ($500M-$1MM) and affluent ($1MM+) client relationships.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Fluent English
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) (required within 6 months)
- Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) (required within 6 months)
- Working Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience managing people
Nice to have:
- experience in the investment industry such as
- Investment Representative (IR)
- Investment Advisor Associate (IAA) or higher capacity
- RBC branch manager or similar experience in people management
- Preference made to candidates that are licensed/possess:
- Derivatives Fundamentals Course and
- Options License (OLC) and Wealth Management Essentials
- Cantonese and Mandarin
