As the Manager, Raw Materials Sourcing, you will be responsible for driving supply chain operational excellence within our raw materials vendor base. You will work closely with our raw materials planning team and grow the capabilities of our new materials strategy team with an eye to building an agile and resilient supply chain. Owning the relationship with our raw materials suppliers, you will ensure that they perform beyond our expectations in key indicators such as cost, quality, capability, and delivery.

The Raw Materials Sourcing team is part of the broader Raw Materials team and works closely with the finished goods sourcing and supply planning teams to grow our business. You will be working upstream with Raw Material Developers, Merchants and Designers to ensure that our supply chain can deliver on capacity and cost while looking to anticipate the future needs of the business.

- Driving strategic projects with raw materials teams and cross functional partners while providing regular updates on progress.
- Partnering with product and merchant leadership to develop the costing and negotiation strategy required to hit margin targets.
- Champion the implementation of data management tools and processes to integrate T1 and T2 vendors.
- Keeping Arc’teryx at the cutting edge of material manufacturing technologies and ensuring that our supply chain follows.

- Collaborating with the Sustainability team to reduce the carbon footprint of our raw materials supply chain.
- Building delivery models for speed to market programs that improve our agility and grow our DTC business.
- Building a resilient supply chain that can respond quickly to natural disaster and geo-political disturbances.
Are you our next Manager, Raw Materials Sourcing?
- You have 5+ years experience in the apparel industry with a focus on sourcing/manufacturing, including 2+ years’ experience leading teams.
- You can think strategically and balance the needs of multiple cross functional teams.
- You are an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and can process and analyze large datasets.
- You are capable of data modelling and process mapping system and commercialization activities.
- You can leverage your understanding of ERP and ERPII systems both as a user and as part of an implementation team.
- You know when to use your voice and take a stand on important ethical and sustainability issues that impact our business.
- You know the value of data to drive decision making and have a desire to employ the latest in data management technologies across and organization.
- You have a strong financial acumen and the ability to develop financial models and report to leadership.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields is a plus.
- Fluency in Mandarin or another foreign language is a plus.
