About the Role
This position works to coordinate with suppliers and BC & Alberta provincial Liquor Boards to prepare and submit purchase orders, product registrations, and coordinate shipment with freight forwarders in a timely manner; also to prepare marketing promotional materials, and provide timely support to the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Create and update marketing promotional and brand materials, including sell sheets, promotional initiatives, technical sheets, portfolio, etc
 
- Create e-mail promotions and keep client e-mail lists up to date
 
- Manage company website and social media account
 
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and Liquor Boards to organize product pick up, consolidation, receiving and delivery to warehouses in BC and AB
 
- Prepare and submit POs for suppliers, inter-provincial POs for transferring inventory between BC, AB and other provinces across Canada
 
- Maintain up to date documentation of shipment progress, costs and delivery timelines
 
- Collect and confirm supplier invoices, packing lists and terms match the agreed-upon terms
 
- Manage internal product database and coordinate product registrations, price change to BC and AB Liquor Board
 
- Order samples from suppliers for new products/vintages ensuring all paperworks is accurately submitted to the custom broker
 
- Update inventory weekly for BC and AB ensuring the highest attention to detail reporting vintages and allocations
 
- Resolve shipment and inventory issues
 
- Obtain freight quotes and review freight invoices for discrepancies or disputes
 
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders
 
- Support with other office tasks/problem solving involving inventory and logistics
 
- Support the sales and marketing team with all inventory/logistics requests
 
- Other related duties as assigned
 
Qualifications and Experience
- 1 – 2 years experience in an Marketing/Operations role
 
- Have passion for Wine & Spirits industry
 
- Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal
 
- Mandarin communication skills is preferred
 
- Self starter and highly motivated
 
- Strong planning and organizational skills, detail-oriented
 
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
 
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills
 
- WSET Level 2 or higher relevant credential is preferred
 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Google Sheets, as well as the ability to learn new software applications
 
- Has or is willing to take the BC Serving It Right responsible service certification
