The Role:
Reporting to the team supervisor, the Merchandising Administration Assistant provides administrative assistance to the superior and a team of buyers in the end-to-end purchasing process by following up on orders and deliveries, compiling reports, performing data maintenance, and communicating with other internal departments and external vendors

Major Responsibilities:
- Assist the buying team in the end-to-end purchasing process
- Perform data maintenance and ensure data integrity, create ad hoc reports as required
- Provide administrative support to the team by working closely with shipping and warehouse departments in the deliveries, pick-ups schedules, verifying product information
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 1 year administrative experience in a fast-paced working environment is preferred
- Possess good knowledge of one or more product category(ies)
- Knowledge in local or overseas buying is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge in Chinese (Cantonese and/or mandarin) is an asset
- Proficient in using Windows applications including Word processing, Power Point and Outlook
- Advanced/expert level in using Excel is highly advantageous
