Job Description:
WEDO Education, a subsidiary of North America Vocational Education Group (NAVEG), offers among other courses, auxiliary education support in Advanced Placement classes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Attend regular course meetings and regularly communicate with the instructor about content, supplementary materials, student performance etc.;
Hold and monitor an online discussion/ Q&A forum through Google Classroom;
Conduct regular tutorial and review sessions as required;
Help students individually or in small groups with assignments / test questions and provide academic support
Serve as a liaison between instructors, academic team, parents, and students
Mark assignments, tests, manage course grades, and provide feedback to students / parents on performance
Oversee students’ learning progress and provide sufficient feedback to the instructor to improve the educational product as needed
PT Position, two days a week, may include weekends and non-traditional hours
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in relevant subjects preferred however we will entertain candidates at the senior undergraduate level ( >Y3)
Related work experience with senior high school students;
Familiarity with the AP format is an asset;
Educational background in any of economics, calculus, chemistry, psychology required. Greater breadth of coverage is an asset;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Bilingual in English and Chinese;
Must possess a patient, compassionate, enthusiastic and positive attitude;
A passion for teaching is required.
