CRC Health Centre (CRC Drugs Pharmacy & Oval Village Medical Clinic) is looking for a casual/part-time pharmacist (around 20 hours per week) in our well-established community pharmacy setting. Our inter-professional health centre gives pharmacists the opportunities to interact with family physicians, specialists, and registered nurses on a daily basis. We currently have 6 full-time family physicians, 6 specialists, 4 pharmacists, and 6 nurses in our health centre. Not only do our pharmacists dispense prescription medications, they will also focus on clinical consultation services, natural product recommendations, drug information requests from physicians, etc. We have an excellent work environment with a spacious store and very friendly staff. We also have very friendly patients that love extra counselling provided by pharmacists. Opportunities for CE (Continuing Education) also available regularly.
Qualifications and Assets:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy, and registered Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacist of BC
Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a must
Strong communications and customer services skills is a must
Certified in injections
Proficiency in Kroll
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prescription dispensing
Answer drug information questions (DIR) from physicians/nurses, and participate in patient-centered discussions with other health-care professionals
Professional services such as vaccinations, medication reviews, adaptations, etc.
OTC, natural health products, and lifestyle management consultations
