We are now looking for a reliable Production Supervisor to join our team. The chosen candidate will be someone who has excellent time management skills, an eye for detail, people skills and can lead and motivate a team. Applicants with work experience in food industry are preferred. The successful candidate will receive a competitive incentive package, and opportunity to learn and grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly production plans to fill the orders the and coordinates the plans with other departments through operation.
2. On site supervision for operations procedures. Ensure that the food safety and work safety standards are strictly followed by all personnel on the floor.
3. Ensure all work is being carried out at maximum efficiency. Implement new methods for improving the overall efficiency of the department
4. Lead a team of production employees and ensure continuous coaching, support and communication on practices, policies and procedures
5. Responsible for personnel management of the Department, including promotion, recruiting and laying-off.
6. Develop and maintain the records for the Department. Make sure the records are complete, accurate and compliant to the regulatory requirements.
7. Schedule, supervise and verify installation, repair and preventive maintenance of premises and equipment.
8. Participate in team management meetings in order to discuss/solve inter-departmental issues and to drive internal and external projects actively.
9. Participate in establishment of company standards, policies and procedures. Ensure the department is operating efficiently.
10. Prepare the budget for the department and control the operation cost.
11. Communicate with customers, inspectors and vendors when required.
Qualifications:
1. Post high school education is required.
2. Minimum 2-year Production Management related experience.
3. Work experience in food industry is an asset.
4. Fluent in English and Mandarin. Cantonese and other languages are assets.
5. Familiar with Microsoft office. Experience with inventory software is an asset
6. PR or Canadian citizen.
7. Able to lift 50 lb when required.
8. First aid and forklift certificate are assets.
