The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction of the assigned machine or packaging area to meet quality and output requirements efficiently and consistently.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate various machinery for packaging purposes
Package accordingly as per production schedules.
Place finished mixed product into boxes or bags accordingly.
Responsible for cleaning machine after use.
Responsible for daily routine maintenance of the machine
Complete all tasks according to company policy standards and according to hygiene and safety through proper training.
Keeps all relevant department managers well informed of daily operations
Work closely and amiably with all production department and managers.
Completes required daily documentation
Meets or exceeds output targets as required
Ability to work as a team member with the Materials, Quality, and Technical Support departments to get the job done more effectively
Requirements:
Experience in food, agricultural or food packaging industries an asset
Great attention to detail
Preference given to Cantonese or Mandarin speaking individuals
Excellent manual and physical dexterity required
Capable of lifting and packing up to 50 pound boxes or bags
Must be results-oriented
Must be used to working in a changing environment
Forklift certification an asset
Experience working with dry roasters and oil roasters (an asset)
Ability to work shifts (morning, afternoon or weekends as required)
