Shingrand is a professional seafood company, dedicated to providing the best, freshest seafood products to our customers. We mainly provide for restaurants, supermarkets, and individual demographics with relevant food demands, thereby gaining access to a vast market. We provide to restaurants, supermarkets, Chinese markets and individual or group purchases, developing a diverse operation system and cooperating with online businesses to further promote and advertise our product and brand. Therefore, due to high demands, we must ensure that all our products are ordered, in stock, and ready to be supplied to our market.
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to direct our daily product purchases and develop an effective purchasing strategy to further improve our operating efficiency, by improving the management of our stock, and ensuring the consistency of quantity and quality in our supply chains in the prospective expansion of our online business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and plan daily food product purchasing activities according to inventory needs and purchasing trends
Develop and implement purchasing policies, strategies, and procedures to best utilize budget and minimize excess purchase
Develop product specification, and oversee the cost and quality of food products
Contact and negotiate with local seafood product suppliers to ensure optimal purchases of high quality products
Maintain records of purchase and evaluate suppliers and corresponding products based on cost and quality
Propose and establish long-term purchase contracts with trustworthy suppliers of particular seafood products based on seasonal trends and product demands
Monitor internal product storage and processing equipment maintenance
Review and settle disputes or claims and update supplier evaluations accordingly
Administer, supervise staff and allocate purchasing related tasks
Review purchasing programs, work out improvement plan and advise the supervisor
Skills & Qualifications:
College diploma or above in Business Administration, Economics or related disciplines is required
2+ years of experience in Purchasing roles is required
Strong organization and negotiation skills are required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Purchasing Software
