Company Introduction
T&T Supermarket Inc. was found in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly to become Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 27 stores across the country: 12 in Metro Vancouver, 6 in Alberta, and 9 in Ontario (7 in GTA and 1 in Ottawa, 1 in Waterloo).
Major Responsibilities:
Maintain inventory and product quality, follow FIFO concept, if applicable; ensure full display of various seafood products
Follow procedures to process expired products and manage shrinkage
Prepare various seafood products for sales activities, include but not limited to catch, gut, descale, cut, wash, pack and label various seafood products and display them in the display coolers
Greet customers by providing good customer service with smile, friendly enthusiasm
Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide recommendations to them, as required
Maintain workplace cleanliness, wash relevant work areas and fish tanks, and ensure working tools are clean and well-kept
Keep storage area, display cases and walk-in coolers clean and tidy
Attitude Requirements:
Demonstrate job commitment, accountable, reliable
A good team player, able to collaborate with and assist other colleagues
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
Able to use seafood cutters and other tools in a safe manner
Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with seafood products (live & frozen) and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis
Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃), freezing temperature (-18℃), and wet environment for long time
Not allergic to seafood and seafood products
Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) an asset
Knowledge of basic work safety
Relevant experience in handling seafood products is preferred
