We are seeking a professional with strong experience in sourcing, supplier negotiations, analyzing data, creating plans to recommend cost saving strategies and to increase revenue. The buyer will actively support multiple time-sensitive requests, work independently and effectively interface with all levels of executives in the company, while efficiently ensuring the sourcing process is completed in a manner that is consistent with the company’s policies and goals.
Required Skills/ Experiences:
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN SOURCING CONSUMER ELECTRONICS. (For example: Mobile phone accessories, smartwatch accessories, smart home accessories…etc)
MUST SPEAK MANDARIN BECAUSE YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE WITH CHINA FACTORIES ON THE PHONE.
MUST SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH BECAUSE YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH MANAGEMENT LOCALLY.
MUST BE PRO-EFFICIENT USING THE COMPUTER. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE SLOW USING THE COMPUTER AND EXCEL APPLICATION.
-Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, engineering or related field
-Previous experience in a global sourcing, manufacturing or supply chain environment
-Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and work to protect our company’s interests
-Ability to reduce cost, execute project within budget and in a timely manner
-Ability to collect, analyze and communicate information in presentations and written reports.
-Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
-Generating and implementing efficient sourcing management strategies
-Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure = cost sheet preparation
-Submissions of company PO to vendors
-Check and confirm all delivery shipments are all in accordance with issued PO and approved specs and quantities
-Must have the ability to communicate effectively and facilitate discussions as well the ability to drive toward consensus.
-Manage and grow assistants assigned to you to maximize their abilities to help execute your sourcing plans
-Pro efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-Strong negotiation skills are needed for management of both internal and external initiatives.
-Resilience, stamina, and flexibility are needed as situations call for decisions, actions, and solutions that at times supersede a standard workday schedule.
-Willing to work in the evenings to communicate with China Suppliers
Work time is in the evenings. For example you will be working from 3pm- 11pm. You leave the office at 6pm and do the rest of the work at home. Expect to work later than 11pm if you need to follow up with factories.
Compensation depends on your experience, education and skill set. Optional Extended Health Benefits is offered.
