We are looking to welcome a dynamic, enthusiastic and dependable Shipping Supervisor to join our Afternoon Shipping team. Our ideal candidate supports us by leading our mission in changing the game in service and achieving on-time delivery.

Core Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage day to day operations for your Shipping Team.
- Motivates and leads your Shipping team by problem solving, listening and responding flexibly and creatively to new challenges and upcoming projects. This also includes performance management, recruitment and development.
- Proactively ensure that Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery, Food Safety and Productivity metrics are all meeting or exceeding targets.
- Coordinates shipment planning and truck loading.
- Safely operates forklift to efficiently load and unload trucks, when required.
- Supporting your team as required, to identify areas of question and implement training action to improve on any found concerns.
- Serves as a backup for administrative duties in the office as required, including but not limited to filing, office stationery management, billing, cash handling.
- Comprehension of customs and parameters in cross-border shipments, completing paperwork and troubleshooting as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years in a shipping or logistics environment is a requirement.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is considered an asset; concepts including pull systems, elimination of waste, 5S and kaizens.
- Drive to problem solve in a strategic and efficient manner to accomplish obstacles on hand.
- Thrives in a true team and fast paced environment.
- Effective multi-tasking ability paired with a passion for organization, with advanced knowledge of MS Suite platforms.
- Attentiveness to details with a strong technical aptitude and enthusiastic to be self-motivated.
- Holds strong interpersonal skills and understands the value of customer service.

- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Richmond, BC V6V 3C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- shipping or logistics environment: 2 years (preferred)
