About the Role:
The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is a key figure in the success of our marketing and sales campaigns. The successful candidate shall oversee internal marketing activities by coordinating the creation of assets, completing marketing research reports, and supporting client-facing proposals.

The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator reports to – and works directly with – The Director of Growth to support Periphery’s annual goals while assisting with the growth of our client accounts. This is a fast-paced role that gives the successful candidate a 360º view into one of Vancouver’s fastest-growing agencies; a highly visible position with room for growth.

This role is on a fast-track and the successful candidate can expect to be presented with advancement opportunities within 9 – 12 months should they display exemplary performance. The successful candidate will also receive funding for professional development certification(s) to be further set up for success.
Responsibilities: Marketing & Social Media:

Coordinating internal marketing and project calendars: the company blog, email newsletter, Social Media, and our upcoming website. Social Media includes LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
Ensuring all assets are completed and posted on company channels within set deadlines.
Assistance working on sales proposals as needed. This includes copy-editing, formatting, etc. Spreadsheet work may also be required.
Delegating design-tasks and managing internal projects for Marketing and Social Media.
Copy-editing, feedback to various design resources, and note-taking will be required.
Research + Analysis:

Researching and reporting on industry developments, marketing best-practices, and other subjects in relation to the scope of this role as directed.
Researching and reporting on marketing awards, keeping an awards schedule, and coordinating all applications and submissions.
Various analyses for client-facing teams as required. Examples include compiling/formatting client-facing reports for account managers and updating datasets for specialists among others.
Administrative:

Attending marketing & sales meetings, taking notes/minutes, scheduling, and other administrative support as needed.
Managing multiple priorities, tasks, and internal projects will be required. This includes organizing our database, email lists, website updates (blog posts), and (potentially) internal projects within our sales pipeline.
The Ideal Candidate:
This is an entry-level position for candidates who are highly coachable, responsible, and excited to build a successful career in marketing and advertising. This is a fast-tracked position and we are seeking candidates who display significant intellectual curiosity, a history of professional responsibility, and a team-first mentality.

Superior attention to detail and personal organization
Excellent written and verbal communication
Intermediate proficiency: MS Excel/Google Sheets
Beginner – intermediate proficiency: MS PPT/Google Slides, MS Word/Google Docs
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Ability to collaborate with multiple colleagues, and manage expectations across different levels of the organization
Ability to solve problems and remain positive in difficult situations
Post-secondary education in Media, Marketing, or Business Administration (recent grad). This position is in collaboration with a government program for which “recent graduate” is a requirement
Demonstrated experience in business, data analysis, and/or marketing analysis is considered an asset.
Knowledge of best practices in marketing, social media (the Facebook advertising platform especially), and project management are considered an asset.
Knowledge of Chinese marketing, (including Chinese social media) is considered an asset.
Familiarity with software products such as Notion, Asana, popular CRMs, and Email Marketing tools is considered an asset.

Salary: $35,000.00-$39,000.00 per year
