We are currently looking for a full-time bilingual Student Services Coordinator for our high school blended learning program, Xspace Unicademy (Vancouver and China). Xspace’s blended learning programs create a space where students can interact in purposeful ways with peers, digital course materials, online and offline instructors in a physical classroom setting. Qualified educators from Xspace and partner school districts will be working collaboratively to guide students through coursework, while helping students develop long-term soft skills and offering personalized instruction that fits students’ individual needs. All Xspace students graduate with a BC or Ontario High school diploma.
Job Responsibilities:
Student Admissions & Recruitment
Handling inquiries from prospective students/parents and introducing Xspace’s programs and services
Assisting the marketing department in marketing activities and campaigns, including maintaining and updating various marketing medias (e.g. print materials, social media)
Collect testimonials from students and other materials for program promotion
Liaising with local recruiters and agents
Assisting in enrolment procedures for new students
Student Services & Activities
Assisting students with high school graduation planning based on academic performance and interests
University advising and preparation
Advising students on university choices based on interests and career goals
Assist students with university application procedures, including selection of schools, document collection and advising on writing personal statements and interview training
Organizing enrichment opportunities for students that promote leadership and soft skill development. Examples:
Youth leadership opportunities
Immersion/exchange camps
Academic competitions
Assisting students in volunteer work placements
Perform other duties as reasonably assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree
At least 3 years’ experience working with international high school students in an educational setting
Demonstrated strong people skills in student admissions and good sense in marketing
Strong international student service mind-set, communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong bilingual (English and Mandarin) skills
Adapts and quickly responds to changes in the workplace
Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications
