Our client is an emerging player in the Vancouver real estate development landscape. With over 10 years of projects in British Columbia, our client is poised for continued growth over the next 5 years. They currently have over a million square feet of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties under development.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President of Finance to join the leadership group. The VP of Finance will play a key role in driving financial strategies and ensuring the financial stability of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the growth and success of the company
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Evaluate and manage risk in financial transactions and investments
- Collaborate with the executive team to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
- Provide financial guidance and support to business units and departments
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in real estate, financial lending, or investment settings would be preferred
- Extensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bi-lingual (English & Mandarin)
