Warehouse Supervisor/Manager

We are a trading company importing Japanese products located in Burnaby and looking to hire a Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager to join our team. As a Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing our warehouse operations to ensure efficient and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in warehouse management.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
• Ensure accurate inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
• Train and develop warehouse employees, providing guidance and support to improve productivity and performance.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
• Maintain records of all warehouse activities, including inventory levels, delivery schedules, and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
• Pick and fill orders from stock
• Load or assist in loading appropriate freight onto delivery trucks
• Drive delivery truck to deliver goods to customers when needed
• Labeling
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work both indoors and outdoors

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or a similar role, demonstrating effective leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping procedures.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with warehouse staff, other departments, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Class 5 driving license
• Forklift license & experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to speak Cantonese and Mandarin will be an asset
