About the role To provide operational and administrative support and quality standards to the Personal Financial Services business. Overall nature of work is of low to moderate complexity. Responsibilities: Exceeds expectations in terms of speed, certainty and efficiency of response. Identify and understand basic customer needs in order to complete transactions and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Act as second level escalation for handling more complex issues as well as a referral point for signing authority and approvals. Maintain superior and courteous service to internal and external contacts. Ensure branch or work area is maintained in accordance with HSBC standards. Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets. Promotes and contributes to team-based approach in completing tasks and meeting internal and external customer needs. Provide guidance to Operational, Risk and Administration Associates, Personal Bankers and Premium Bankers. Participates in quality, regulatory and compliance training in order to meet performance targets. Promotes an environment that supports diversity. Demonstrates Group capabilities. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Ensure that all employees are aware of and effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Qualifications Requirements: Must be fully bilingual in English and Cantonese, Mandarin or French At least 1 year experience with investment knowledge of products within a financial institution. Professional appearance and attitude. Team player and development minded. Ability to learn and operate new software and technology. Detailed orientated with good time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task. Previous customer service / banking industry experience an asset. Ability to handle large volumes, tight turnarounds and multiple deadlines. Some experience with conflict resolution required. Day-to-day bookkeeping & office activities including, but not limited to: · collect the orders from the fax, email, or WeChat, also take care of the onsite customer. · analysis the orders and do the PO and invoice in the accounting software. · discuss with the sales people to confirm the order quantity and price. · communicate with the warehouse workers and delivery driver to coordinate the delivery routing. · make the record for the orders and shipping recorder, including the driver record. · Letter writing, email and other communications as required, including limited phone call reception, note taking & redirecting · running the inventory, sales report to support the sales teams. · Spreadsheet updates & maintenance · License & permit renewals, Skills and Attributes Required: · Proficiency in SAGE 50 accounting software (mandatory – or significant equivalent accounting software experience + ability to learn SAGE quickly) · Good general organization; ability to work independently and prioritize tasks · Familiarity with full cycle bookkeeping and accounting practices · Ability to perform medium level data entry in Microsoft Excel · Ability to use web-based payment methods and forms for submission of payments · Good communication skills & proficiency in verbal/written English · Ability to communicate in Chinese or Cantonese is preferred.
